The Worst WiFi Service Company in the World
The World's Worst WiFi Service (Wireless Internet Service) CompanyCOVINGTON, LA - Whatever you do, DO NOT EVER purchase WiFi (Wireless Internet) Service from Charter Communications. Charter doesn't seem to believe they actually have to provide the service for which they bill you. No, Charter Communications would like to just be able to take your money without having to worry about actually providing Wireless Internet Service (WiFi Service), much less fixing it when it breaks (which is very, very frequently). Of course, it's not just the internet that's bad. We used to go through Charter for TV too. Well all it took was one missed LSU game for me to make the switch to dish (the game was televised, Charter just couldn't get the outage fixed in time for kick-off... or halftime, or the post-game press conference... You get the point. If you haven't been down to the Southern United States during College Football Season, there are very few things on earth as intense as a Southerner's love for his or her team. Deep in the heart of Bayou Country, that team is the LSU Tigers. Having to miss an LSU football game because of the cable company's incompetence is a crime only slightly less severe than murder, and one often leads to the other... In fact, the first, last and only time I actually felt as though i was being taken seriously by Charter when calling in to report my problems was after I'd already placed a call to Six-on-your-Side and received a verbal committment fromt he head of the news division that if Charter failed to make the situation right by the end of the news day that they'd feature the story the following day. Some guy named Kelly (you read that correctly --- a man named "Kelly") who claimed to be the regional HNIC (top-dog), actually came out to the house to see that the television and internet were working (and to issue a statement if in fact channel 6 had sent the news crew. He made a whole bunch of empty promises that Charter never so much as attempted to fulfill, and after two or three weeks, everything was right back to normal --- no internet, no television. I honestly can't tell you what has possessed my family and I to subject outselves to three hair-pulling years of abuse from the world's worst Wireless Internet Service (WiFi Service) company, bar none. Don't make the same mistake I made. PLEASE, don't subject yourself to Charter Communications, its incompetent (and often rude) staff, and its piss-poor customer service. This is a company to be avoided at all costs. If you don't believe me, find out for yourself. See if I care... If you manage to get suckered in to signing a contract with them, do your best not to go crazy as a result from having to deal with their shenanigans on a near-daily basis. And in the (hopefully) highly unlikely situation in which you do find your self in search of a couple of old used shotguns and an obscure boat launch, go see a doctor or other psychiatric health professional immediately, and don't go back to the Charter-contaminated home until a doctor clears you as completely mentally stable and rational. If at all possible, see if you can have a replacement TV, phone and/or internet service provider lined up in advance (or even better, already installed) before you attempt to return to the scene of the criminally negligent WiFi Internet and Cable TV service. Granted, I don't know that the law recognizes such heinous acts of insubordination as a crime, but you and I both damn-well know it should be considered a crime. I missed an LSU game over this nonsense, not once - but twice! Shame on you Charter Communications. May Almighty God take mercy on your founders, board of directors, and yes, even the snide, conniving little twerps you call low-end employees and private contractors when it comes time for your judgement day. By supporting such a wretched and evil organization, there is not one person on Charter's payroll whose hands are free of blood. May God help you! You're sure going to need it...
